French Montana has been heavily criticized for bringing Andrew Tate on stage during a performance at Beach, Please Festival in Romania.
Controversial internet personality Tate made an appearance midway through French’s set in the European country, where the influencer is awaiting trial on human trafficking charges.

French also announced that the two had recorded a yet-to-be-released podcast and told Tate, “Romania loves you, my brother” after he was greeted warmly by the crowd in attendance.
The Bronx rapper then dedicated a song to Tate, who later called on those watching the show to chant, “Escape the matrix” in an attempt set a new world record.
“First rapper to do a stream with top G and the first to bring Top G out on stage! ROMANIA WE LOVE YOU. S/O Andrew Tate + Tristan Tate,” French wrote on Instagram alongside footage of the moment.
Despite the crowd’s enthusiasm, the unlikely link-up didn’t sit well with fans online.
“That’s so embarrassing lol,” one disappointed fan commented on French’s post, while another said: “DISGUSTING [skull emojis] SUCH A LOW MOVE bringing him on stage.”

A third critic added: “I swear these rappers love to support the worst this world has to offer.”
The festival itself also responded to Tate’s unexpected appearance on stage, saying in a statement: “The artistic program does not include the name Andrew Tate, no time slot is dedicated to him. The Beach, Please! scene, like all scenes in the world, is a platform for free artistic expression.

“The artistic moment in which Andrew Tate appeared was both a spontaneous one on the part of French Montana and a surprise for the festival. This aspect can also be seen from the fact that it was not properly equipped to perform in this sense.”
Andrew Tate has previously been a vocal critic of Hip Hop, with the accused rapist claiming Ice Spice was a “demon.”
“Everything I said about how you can see demons if you pay attention, did you look at her [Ice Spice] and think that’s a demon? Maybe you didn’t, but after listening to this, please pay attention,” he said on his Tate Speech podcast earlier this year.
“She is wearing an upside-down cross. The matrix has made her famous. Nobody knows why. It’s certainly not because of fucking talent. And she’s wearing Balenciaga which are child molesters and she’s making devil symbols. What kind of clue are you looking for if those aren’t the clues you need?!”

Tate also exchanged words with Meek Mill in February after the former professional kickboxer weighed in on the allegations that the Philadelphia rapper has had sex with Diddy.
“So P Diddy was having sex with Meek Mill and Usher?” Tate asked on X (formerly Twitter), to which Meek replied: “Was you sex trafficking women? Tf wrong wit you Brody.

Tate then wrote back: “I only asked a question because everyone is saying it happened. It’s true or not?”
