Fredo Bang has revealed some interesting terminology used by prison drug smugglers, though he admits he doesn’t have first-hand experience with the process.

The Baton Rouge rapper, who was incarcerated for two years following a second degree attempted murder charge, made the revelation while speaking to VLAD TV about his experiences behind bars.

When asked about the aggressive ways in which individuals who are known to smuggle drugs by inserting them into their anal cavities are often robbed, Fredo Bang offered the phrase as an alternative to “the trunk,” as the off-camera interviewer called inmates’ butts.

“Your Gucci bag,” he said before confirming that the method doesn’t necessarily keep smugglers safe from attack. “They gon’ beat you up, they gon’ pin you down, they going off in there. They want that mojo, they want that meth and they want that back. If they gotta go in that back, that’s what they doing.”

While Fredo Bang admitted to selling drugs while in prison, he made it clear that he didn’t go as far as that to hide his stash.

“I ain’t even gon’ lie, I ain’t never played those games,” Fredo said. “I don’t even know how to wipe back there too long, you feel me? I ain’t never played with my Gucci bag. When I was selling drugs in jail, I used to have like a little pocket. I had a migo stitch in the pocket. So when I go in there, I just pull it out the pants. If I’m getting searched it don’t really show too much. I ain’t put nothing in my Gucci bag.”

Despite being willing to offer some details, the “Throw It Back” rapper stopped short of sharing how he was able to get the drugs into the prison facility where he was housed.

Being tight-lipped seems more aligned with Fredo Bang’s nature. Court documents obtained by XXL showed that he refused to answer any questions during a pre-trial conference for YNW Melly‘s double murder trial in June of last year.

The documents show that Judge Andrew L. Siegel denied the prosecution’s motion on June 6, 2022 to require Fredo to answer questions related to Melly’s case. Judge Siegel made the decision after Fredo continuously invoked his fifth amendment right to protect himself from self-incrimination.

The State at one point even offered the “Brazy” rapper immunity from prosecution in the state of Florida if he answered the prosecution’s questions, but Fredo still refused.

Prosecutors believe YNW Melly called Fredo Bang to pick him up after he allegedly murdered Chris Thomas (YNW Juvy) and Anthony Williams (YNW Sakchaser) on October 26, 2018. The prosecution sought to establish a timeline on Fredo’s whereabouts the night of the alleged murders and was hoping to find out if Fredo did actually pick up Melly.

They also wanted to verify his phone numbers and have him provide the identities of other individuals they believe he was with the night of the murders.

The court appearance followed Fredo Bang’s own run in with law enforcement officials in Florida in 2021, when he was reportedly arrested in Miami in July 2021 for a parole violation in his home state of Louisiana, just ahead of the Rolling Loud Miami festival.

According to The Miami Herald,he was booked into the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center on Thursday afternoon. His roommate, fellow rapper Lit Yoshi, was arrested on the day before on a warrant for attempted murder charge in St. Tammany Parish, Louisiana.
