Frank Ocean made his mama proud this week when Apple Music ranked Blonde as one of the top 10 albums of all time.
The streaming service began rolling out its ambitious ranking project last week and unveiled its top 10 on Wednesday (May 22), with the 2016 effort by the elusive singer, which spent the first three weeks of its life as an Apple Music exclusive, coming in at No. 5.

In a post to Instagram on Thursday (May 23), Katonya Breaux celebrated her baby boy’s accolade.
“This child sure knows how to make his momma proud!” she wrote. “I first said wow son, you are among the greats but quickly retracted and said ‘no, you are a GREAT!’ Here’s to my Frankie!![champagne and heart emojis] #blonde
Ms. Lauryn Hill’s The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill nabbed the top spot on the list and beat out the likes of Michael Jackson’s Thriller (No. 2), The Beatles’ Abbey Road (No. 3), Prince’s Purple Rain (No. 4) and as mentioned, Frank Ocean’s Blonde at No. 5.
She was joined in the upper reaches of the list by a host of other Hip Hop and R&B stars on the list including Kendrick Lamar, whose good kid, m.A.A.d city came in at No. 7, Beyoncé, whose Lemonade followed at No. 10, and JAY-Z, whose The Blueprint was ranked No. 13.

Other seminal albums to make the list were Dr. Dre‘s The Chronic (No. 19), Kanye West‘s My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy (No. 26), A Tribe Called Quest‘s The Low End Theory (No. 29), Biggie‘s Ready to Die (No. 32) and Nas‘ Illmatic (No. 39).
In other Frank Ocean news, Tyler, The Creator recently claimed that neither he nor the rest of Odd Future can get in touch with him.

During his second Coachella set last month, the rapper made the shocking revelation before launching into his song, “She,” which he collaborated on with Ocean back in 2011.
“Y’all know this song?” he said to the cheering crowd. “Oh, sing the song, ’cause this n-gga not coming out. We don’t… We don’t know where that n-gga is, so… It’s on y’all. You know it?”

While Frank Ocean doesn’t seem to be returning Tyler’s calls, he is still very active on the music scene.
Cash Cobain has teased a collaboration with the elusive superstar, noting that the crooner is quite the fan of his music.

When asked about forthcoming music in an interview with Billboard from April 18, the Bronx-born rapper revealed that he would be sharing music with the Odd Future affiliate soon.
He said: “And I should be doing something with Frank Ocean soon, too. He really fucks with my music.”

A Cash Cobain collab would be Frank Ocean’s first release in over two years, following the untitled song he debuted on his Apple Music 1 radio show blonded Radio (which some have called “Iceman”).
Despite the long hiatus, the “Pink + White” crooner has been teasing new music in the past year.
