Flying Lotus has tapped Hollywood actors Aaron Paul and Eiza Gonzalez for his upcoming Sci-Fi film Ash.
According to Deadline, the Grammy-Award winning producer made the announcement about the star-studded cast on Tuesday (March 28). Both actors will replace Tessa Thompson and Joseph Gordon-Levitt who signed on to act in the flick last year.

“We are building something fresh and unique with Ash and having Eiza and Aaron in this world just makes it flames,” the producer told the outlet. “They are absolute magic makers, brave and equally inspiring. All that to say… We ’bout to kill this shit.'”
He also shared the exciting news regarding Ash on Instagram on Tuesday (March 28). “Yeessss. It’s alive!” he captioned the post. “It’s already been a journey just getting to this point but all roads lead me to this amazing duo and I’m fkn hype. We are fully IN IT now! I can’t wait to share this new world w y’all. New [movie camera emoji] And lots of new [music note emoji] coming soon [heart emoji].”
Paul and Gonzalez also left supportive comments under Flylo’s post.
Eiza Gonzalez will play a woman who finds herself on a strange planet along with the members of her space station who are killed in a heinous manner. Gonzalez will have to lean on Aaron Paul, who is sent to rescue her from the tragic situation.
The movie itself is based on an original screenplay by music writer Jonni Remmler.
Each of the talented actors already have preexisting connections to the Hip Hop world. Last year, Wale appeared in the Michael Bay movie Ambulance alongside Eiza Gonzalez. In 2019, Kid Cudi starred in season three of the HBO sci-fl seriesWestworld with Aaron Paul. He also starred alongside the Breaking Bad star in 2014’s Need For Speed.
