Flavor Flav has created a custom clock chain for Jordan Chiles amid the Olympic medal controversy the gymnast is currently embroiled in.
During the floor exercise in Paris at the 2024 Olympic Games last week, Jordan initially came in fifth. However, when her coach made an appeal saying a skill was missed, the judges found this to be correct and adjusted her score, moving her from fifth to being a Bronze medal winner.

The Romanian Olympic Committee then fought back and said the appeal came four seconds beyond the one-minute time limit for scoring inquiries. The Court of Arbitration for Sport (Cas) agreed, and subsequently voided Chiles’ medal and forced her to give it back to Romania’s Ana Barbosu.
On Sunday (August 11), USA Gymnastics disputed Romania, having found video evidence that showed Team USA coach Cécile Landi actually appealing 13 seconds before the deadline. Unfortunately, that appeal was dismissed, with Cas saying their rules do not allow for an arbitral award to be reconsidered – even if the evidence is in their favor.

In response to the news, Flav took to X and promised to make a bronze clock chain for Chiles.
“Ayyy YOOOO @ChilesJordan … imma make you a BRONZE CLOCK NECKLACE,,, and that’s something NO ONE else has,!!!” he wrote. “Hit me up my girl,,, I gotchu,!!!”

In a retweet, Jordan’s sister Gina Chiles replied: “Thank you. Means the world. She’s not on socials right now as you can imagine. I’ll share it with her.”
In the meantime, Team USA is continuing to fight the ruling.

Flavor Flav has been a shining light throughout the Games. Earlier this month, the Public Enemy rapper came to the aid of an Olympic athlete after they admitted they were struggling to pay their rent.
Veronica Fraley, who competed in the discus throw on August 2, took to X the day before to share her predicament.

“I compete in the Olympic Games TOMORROW and can’t even pay my rent,” she wrote. “my school only sent about 75% of my rent while they pay football players (who haven’t won anything) enough to buy new cars and houses.”
Flav replied: “I gotchu,,, DM me and I’ll send payment TODAY so you don’t have to worry bout it TOMORROW,,, and imma be rooting for ya tomorrow LETZ GO,!!!”
Shortly after, Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian offered to split the cost with Flav.
“THANK YOU & @FlavorFlav SO MUCH,” Fraley replied. “this makes every difference in the WORLD & I hope to represent team USA well this week.”

It appears both men kept their word as the 24-year-old Olympian later wrote: “ITS MEET DAY. Also paid my rent this morning [crying face emoji] [praying hands emoji] [love hearts emoji].”
The Hip Hop pioneer was also named the USA water polo teams’ official hypeman last month after signing a multi-year partnership with the organization that also sees him make financial contributions to the women’s water polo Olympic team.
