Eve has opened up about the time Janet Jackson “saved her life” after her drink was possibly spiked.

The revelation comes courtesy of the former Ruff Ryders rapper’s new memoir Who’s That Girl?, which hit shelves last week.

In the book, Eve recalls Janet, as well as Missy Elliott, coming to her aid after she suspected that her drink had been tampered with at a party following the MTV Video Music Awards in 2007.

“Missy came in to check on me, but I was just unable to collect myself. Then who walks in, Janet Jackson. I had never met her before, and so her first introduction to me was seeing me hysterical,” she writes.

“None of that mattered to Janet; she actually just sprang into action and told people to get aspirin, water, hot sauce, and a piece of white bread. That concoction knocked me right out of my hysteria. So basically Janet Jackson saved my life.”

Several memories and revelations from Who’s That Girl? have made headlines leading up to its release.

In another excerpt that made waves online, Eve remembered receiving a congratulatory phone call from JAY-Z after the release of her debut album Let There Be Eve…Ruff Ryders’ First Lady in 1999.

However, the Roc-A-Fella rhymer also cautioned her to keep her feet on the ground as female MCs don’t “really do that well.”

Eve later clarified the story while appearing on The Breakfast Club, reassuring fans that Hov’s comments weren’t said with ill-intent.

“It’s funny because that was one of those things that we were like, ‘Do we put this in there?’ because you know how people get,” she said. “But there was nothing bad about that.

“It was a very amazing phone call that I needed. I always felt like I was the underdog anyway. And he wasn’t saying it out of malice or [to be] mean. It wasn’t about that. It was facts, really!”

When Charlamagne interjected to suggest that JAY-Z was merely trying to “temper [Eve’s] expectations,” she replied: “Yes, exactly. But I was like, ‘Okay, lemme see. I’ma show you. It’s all good, and it went on to be fine.”
