Erykah Badu has shown some love to Sade Adu on her 64th birthday, creating a remix of the Nigerian-born British singer’s 1988 single, “Love Is Stronger Than Pride.”
Badu shared her version, titled “She Stronger,” in an Instagram post on Monday (January 16). She used a custom built MPC Live to create the 808, which she got for her own birthday in 2022.

“Love Is Stronger Than Pride” was the lead single for Sade’s third studio album, 1988’s Stronger Than Pride. The LP debuted at No. 7 on the Billboard 200 chart and has since been certified 3x platinum by the RIAA.
Badu has continuously showed her fellow artists love throughout the course of her career. Back in July, she left Megan Thee Stallion in shock when she made a special appearance at Meg’s show in Switzerland and wound up delivering an impromptu twerk session.
Wearing a white t-shirt and cut-off jean shorts, Badu got busy and Megan loved every second of it.
“When I tell yallll my girl @erykahbadu shocked thee shit outta me,” the Houston hottie wrote via Instagram after the hsow. “I did not know she was bout to get up here and cut up like this in Switzerland. Real mf TEXAS SH!T REAL MF HOT GIRL SH!T.”

Badu also went in on a Twitter troll who dared cross her when she was attempting to shower fellow H-Town artist Travis Scott with love amid his Astroworld Festival tragedy in 2021.
“Bless you @trvisXX,” she wrote. “Safe Journey to all the souls. I’m so sorry.” Someone who goes by the Twitter handle @saviorisntme fired back, “NURSE SHES OUT AGAIN!!!,” a jab at Badu’s mental health. It didn’t take Badu long to respond with, “Fuk u ho.”
