“It speaks on what it was like to make that move and why I did it — but not forgetting that where I’m from is integral to my growth,” Erick The Architect said of the new track.

Though this is Erick’s first solo release of the year, he’s appeared as a guest star on a variety of artist’s tracks throughout 2023. He was featured on Jungle’s “Candle Flame,” Whyte Fang’s “Scream” and Kimbra’s latest album.
Last month, fellow Flatbush Zombies spitter Meechy Darko — who released his debut solo album, Gothic Luxury, last August — dropped his “Get Lit or Die Tryin’” remix.
In April, Zombie Juice, who is the third and final piece of the Zombies, released his debut solo album, Love Without Conditions — which includes tracks “Dizzy” and “Terpalation.” To celebrate, the rapper held a sold-out album release show at Los Angeles’ Peppermint Room.
Last year, during an exclusive interview with HipHopDX, Meechy revealed that the group had “40 new songs” in the bag, some of which will appear on their forthcoming James Blake-assisted album.

“[Zombie Juice] and Erick are busy man, so it’s on them, they’re the producers,” Darko said. “All I can do is rap when they send me a beat, but I’m not gonna pressure. Whenever they ready … there’s a lot of songs to be honest. I wanna say, damn, I don’t wanna say.”
He continued: “Let’s just say altogether between shit we did with RZA, the shit we did with James Blake, the shit we did with ourselves, 40 songs, maybe? If you see me, I don’t know. It’s 40, might be four next time. I don’t know.”
