Ebro Darden is hoping to one day get a joint album from the Young Money trifecta of Drake, Lil Wayne and Nicki Minaj – or at least an EP.
On the latest episode of Apple Music’s Rap Life Review round-table, the radio talent and music exec made a case for more music from the three superstars.

“I think we’re owed as Hip Hop fans a collab Drake/Wayne album,” he began. “Or just an EP. Or a Drake/Wayne/Nicki – seven joints, five joints. Something. I think it’s love [between Drake and Nicki.] When the schedules align, they’re cool. She had him on her album, you know?”

Drake, Lil Wayne and Nicki Minaj were inseparable in the early 2010s, but eventually appeared together less frequently as Nicki and Drake’s careers blew up.
In August 2022, Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj and Drake shared the stage for the first time in almost a decade at Toronto’s Budweiser Stage for the slightly-delayed third and final night of Drake’s October World Weekend festival.

Last summer, Birdman claimed that while his label has been sent offers upwards of $4 million to $5 million for just Weezy alone, if Nicki and Drizzy were added into the mix the fee would quadruple.
“So you know with Nicki and Drake, that shit about $15-20 million a show,” he said. “Big facts. A lot of [money on the table]. $4-5million a show. We’ve been offered about $4-5 million a show. That’s without Drake and Nicki.”
Big money has always been in play with the former YMCMB superstars. Back in 2021, Birdman revealed he allegedly gave Drake, Nicki Minaj and Lil Wayne a combined $1.4billion after landing a deal with Universal Records.
“When Universal gave me a bag, brother, I could honestly say I gave Wayne about $400 to $500million, Drake got about $500million and Nicki got about $300, $400million out of my pocket,” he said. “No cap. If you don’t believe them, ask ’em.”

Drake is undeniably one of the most recognized musical acts in the world and up until a few years ago, he was still with the label. However, starting with 2021’s Certified Lover Boy, his projects have since been distributed via OVO Sound and Republic Records.
Still, during a 2019 interview with Rap Radar, he vowed to remain loyal to the empire Birdman and his brother Slim built. “I’m always going to be involved in the Cash Money/Young Money imprint,” he said. “And my loyalty, like I said, always lies there.”
