Drake has stopped by On The Radar Radio and delivered a new freestyle alongside London rapper Central Cee where he compared himself to some historical luminaries.
Recorded earlier this week and released on Friday afternoon (July 21), Drizzy tapped into his UK swag once again and stepped to the mic first, touching on a few love interests as well as the deaths of famed leaders Jesus and Julius Caesar.

“But we know some demon guys with jealous and evil eyes/ You know that’s how Jesus died, you know that’s how Julius Caesar died/ I bet they were decent guys/ I swear they remind me of me sometimes,” Drake rhymes over the sped-up Jodeci sample.

Drake is essentially saying he knows there’s a bullseye on his back as a leader in the Hip Hop culture as people try to throw dirt on his name.

As for the historical references, Julius Caesar was a Roman general who was assassinated by a group of senators while Jesus was crucified on the cross. Both were martyrized for their beliefs.

“What goes up must come down/ So when you’re in the air, prepare for the landing/ I did everything I could for the hood so how could they say I don’t care for the man/ Crib so big I might get out of breath if I walk too quick up the stairs in the mansion,” he boasts. “I’ve come a long way selling them Opium on my Lonely but I’m not Ken Carson.”
While Central Cee enjoyed a few days in the Big Apple hanging with Drake on tour, he’s jetted down to Miami where he’ll hit the Rolling Loud stage this weekend.
Meanwhile, the 6 God continues his New York City seven-show run with the final date at Barclays Center on Friday before switching to Manhattan’s Madison Square Garden on Sunday (July 23).
