Drake has unleashed his new EP Scary Hours 3, and eagle-eyed fans were quick to notice that a certain “K. De Bruyne” was credited as a co-writer on the song “Wick Man.”
Fans flocked to social media on Friday (November 17) to connect the credit to Manchester City star Kevin De Bruyne, assuming that he’s been serving up even more assists off the pitch.

KDB himself added fuel to the fire by tweeting out an old photo of him and the 6 God with the caption: “Drake needed an assist.”
However, De Bruyne quickly put an end to the speculation and clarified that while he’s a huge Drizzy fan, that wasn’t actually him flexing his pen on the track.

Prior to his tweet, fans had plenty of fun with the idea of the soccer star, who is currently out injured after suffering a hamstring surgery, helping Drake write bars.
“Wtf is Kevin De Bruyne doing writing for Drake,” one person asked, while another joked: “Even when he’s not playing, he still assists.”

While the Man City phenom is known for serving up assists on the pitch, it’s unclear who the “K. De Bruyne” that’s credited on the Alchemist-produced track actually is.
Scary Hours 3 has also been making headlines thanks to Drake taking aim at rap rivals including Kanye West, Joe Budden and Pusha T.
On project opener “Red Button,” the Toronto superstar calls out Ye for being a deceitful friend and going back on their 2021 truce.
“Every time you need me for a boost, I never hesitated/ Every time that Yeezy called a truce, he had my head inflated/ Thinkin’ we gon’ finally peace it up and get to levitatin’/ Realize that everything premeditated,” he raps.

Then, on “Stories About My Brother,” Drizzy appears to subliminally diss Kanye while referencing him walking around barefoot, as he’s been spotted doing in Europe this past summer.
“I can’t wait for the day that you choose to retire your stuff/ Taking off the sneakers ’cause you tired of tying ’em up/ That one day you wake up and tell ’em, ‘Enough is enough’/ That’s how you gon’ find out you not Kobe Bryant to us [laughs]/ Man, you not Kobe Bryant to us… at all,” he says.

Kanye compared himself to Kobe Bryant on ScHoolboy Q‘s “THat Part,” and also made “I Feel Like Kobe” shirts in 2016 to coincide with Bryant’s NBA retirement.
