Dr. Dre and Big Sean have given Michael B. Jordan all the praise for directing and starring in Creed III.

Jordan’s new film is slated to arrive in theaters on Friday (March 3), but Dre and Sean Don caught an early viewing at the film’s premiere at the TCL Chinese Theater in Hollywood on Monday (February 27) — and both were blown away.

The legendary producer caught up with Entertainment Tonight at the premiere and revealed MBJ actually screened the movie at his house while saluting him on his Hollywood hustle.

“Mike actually came to my house and screened the film for me, and I thought he was out of his mind,” Dre said with a laugh. “First-time director and starring in the film? It’s like, you gotta be crazy to do that, because it’s extremely difficult.”

He continued: “[But] I was so proud of him. I said, ‘Listen, man, I can’t wait to see what’s gonna come out of your mind next, as far as the direction goes,’ you know? It was amazing.”

Dr. Dre added that he thought Michael B. Jordan and his team “did an amazing job” and was proud of what they accomplished.

Big Sean, on the other hand, took his Creed III praise to Instagram by posting a series of photos and videos showing him embracing Jordan on the red carpet.

“Congrats to my dawg @michaelbjordan and the whole team, yall went crazy on the new @creedmovie,” Sean wrote in the caption. “And love for puttin my verse in such a climactic part of the movie, we locked in.”

“My bruddah!!” Jordan replied in the comments section.

The Hip Hop connection in Creed III doesn’t end with Dr. Dre and Big Sean. J. Cole’s Dreamville Records executive produced the film’s official soundtrack.

The label shared the first single, “Ma Boy” featuring Dreamville spitters J.I.D and Lute, earlier this month, although a release date for the album has yet to be announced.

The third installment in the series of Rocky spinoffs, Creed III finds Michael B. Jordan reprising his role as the titular boxer who puts his future on the line against his childhood friend, played by Jonathan Majors. The film also stars Tessa Thompson, Wood Harris, Phylicia Rashad and more.

While Jordan gets ready for the release of Creed III, he’s also gearing up to star in the sequel to Will Smith’s 2007 film I Am Legend. Plot details emerged last month and revealed I Am Legend 2 will follow an alternate ending where Smith’s character doesn’t die.

“This will start a few decades later than the first,” the film’s producer and screenwriter Akiva Goldsman told Deadline. “That will be especially visual in New York. I don’t know if they’ll climb up to the Empire State building, but the possibilities are endless.”
