Khaled was also seen posing for pictures with local officials and law enforcement.
Despite the prestigious accolade, the “God Did” hitmaker was recently criticized for his silence on the ongoing war in Gaza that has seen over 30,000 Palestinians killed and another nearly two million displaced during the conflict with Israel.
Khaled, whose parents were born in Palestine, was slammed by businessman and alleged cousin Fadie Musallet for not using his large platform to speak about the humanitarian crisis in the country.

“Unfortunately, y’know, everyone has their reasons,” Musallet said. “But there’s no reason, there’s no excuse when you’re actually a Palestinian. For me, my mother lives there, y’know what I mean? We’re from the same village, same families, so there’s no excuse.”
He also suggested that the two had fallen out over the issue: “[Khaled and I are] not speaking right now because it’s all about Palestine, and if you’re not talking about Palestine, get out of my life.”
