DJ Envy‘s claim that he’s a “victim” of Cesar Pina’s alleged real estate scam has been contested by his former business partner.
In a lengthy video posted to social media on Tuesday (October 24), Pina broke his silence on the allegations that he stole millions of dollars from investors, which have led to criminal charges and a string of lawsuits.

The real estate developer, who goes by “Flipping NJ,” denied any wrongdoing throughout the clip while refuting Envy’s claim that he, like many others, fell victim to Pina’s alleged “Ponzi scheme.”
“I’m at the point now that I can’t communicate with anybody ’cause now everybody’s a potential co-conspirator, everybody is a witness, everybody is a victim,” Pina said. “Nobody’s an investor anymore; everybody’s a victim.

“DJ Envy’s attorney’s defense that DJ Envy is a victim — that’s the dumbest shit I ever heard in my life. Me and him were partners in the real estate seminars, we were partners in a couple of real estate transactions. That’s it. He’s not a victim! He was my partner, he was an investor.”
In August, the Breakfast Club co-host claimed to have lost $500,000 on a project with Cesar Pina and his wife, Jennifer, to renovate and reposition a former school into an apartment building.
His claims were made in a legal filing seeking to dismiss a lawsuit against him from two of Pina’s investors, Anthony Barone and Anthony Martini, who say Envy and Pina defrauded them out of $1.5 million over an apartment complex that never materialized.
Elsewhere in the video, Cesar Pina — who was arrested on fraud charges last week — doubled down on a previous statement that DJ Envy is innocent and wasn’t involved in the real estate transactions at the center of the lawsuits and criminal investigation.
“I have 20 lawsuits. Out of those 20 lawsuits, a lot of those people I don’t owe money to,” Pina said. “Everybody’s suing me because, ‘Oh my God, this guy’s successful, I can sue him, I’m gonna get this money.’

“Then you have all these people being coerced to sue people affiliated with me just because they’re a bigger name than me. That’s the situation that breaks my heart the most is how, in all these 20 lawsuits, DJ Envy was never in the room with me.”
He continued: “DJ Envy has nothing to do with any of these 20 lawsuits. It pisses me off that all these people are bashing DJ Envy — Funkmaster Flex, Rick Ross, every single person. DJ Envy is so successful in Hip Hop that people just don’t like him. I don’t know why.”
Furthermore, the embattled real estate investor suggested that the people who are suing him are stupid because with his pending criminal case, it’ll take even longer for them to get their money back — if it all.
“I’m not locked up. I’m still here,” he bragged. “And guess what, you fucking geniuses? Now the government is involved. Now the government is gonna come in and say, ‘We’re staying all these lawsuits until your criminal proceedings are done.’
