DJ Drama has praised Jack Harlow for remaining loyal to him throughout Generation Now’s past issues with fellow signee Lil Uzi Vert.
Drama joined The Bootleg Kev Podcast earlier this week, where he tipped his hat to Missionary Jack for sticking by his side and patiently waiting in line behind Uzi for his shot at stardom when the “XO Tour Llif3” hitmaker was at odds with the label.

“What was dope was that I feel like him really standing by me during that meant a lot,” he said. “At a time when he could’ve just — I don’t want to say stay out of it, in a sense that he was in it — but the press or the way that it was portrayed as if we were bad guys, Jack really went out on a limb and put his arm around me and was like, ‘Yo, this is my guy.'”
He continued: “And I always tip my hat off to him for that because he didn’t have to do that. He could’ve totally stayed out of the way.”
The Generation Now co-founder also credited Harlow for remaining “solid” on a personal level throughout his ascendancy to global fame over the last couple of years.
“Jack’s just a solid guy,” he added. “Obviously, at 25 where he is with the type of success and the stardom, he’s not the same kid he was at 19, but he’s a very focused individual. He made the decision years ago to stop drinking and get in a workout regimen. He was really, really focused. I just think outside of rap music, he’s solid.”

Lil Uzi Vert took a shot at Jack Harlow in March 2019 when he posted a clown emoji over the Louisville native’s face in an Instagram photo with DJ Drama. “Free Uzi,” he wrote.
Harlow didn’t take the jab too seriously, though, and playfully responded with a joke about Uzi’s long-delayed Eternal Atake album.
“Just signed my soul away….double tap if you can’t wait for eternal atake,” Harlow wrote back on Instagram.
Lil Uzi Vert, Harlow and Generation Now have since put their issues to the side and seem to be on good terms as Uzi gears up to release his Pink Tape LP and DJ Drama readies his first album in seven years, I’m Really Like That.

The “Money Longer” rapper even defended Jack Harlow last year when he found himself at the center of a white privilege debate in Hip Hop.
“No, he’s really good,” Uzi said. “Yeah, he’s really good. He doesn’t have white privilege. He’s signed to Black people.”
