DJ Drama’s team have denied rumors that the music mogul paid $120,000 to reclaim jewelry that was allegedly stolen from him following a recent scuffle in Toronto.
On Saturday (June 10), a video surfaced in which three masked men claim to be in possession of the Philly DJ’s iced-out Generation Now chains. “This is — that’s what you fuckin’ get for not checkin’ in!” one masked robber says holding up the chains. “Shout out boy, Drizzy, eh? Triple G’s, you know how we rock! Braap! Braap!”

On Tuesday (June 13), DJ Akademiks shared a Keep6ixsolid report about Drama supposedly re-acquiring his stolen jewelry for $120,000. In the post’s comment section, Top5 replied: “120K for the chain back that’s a good deal [two laughing emojis] [handshake emoji].”

When Akademiks reposted this interaction, the official Generation Now IG account commented using the cap emoji. Additionally, the label’s co-founder Leighton “Lakeshow” Morrison laughed off the claims, writing: “Lololololololol.”
HipHopDX has reached out to DJ Drama and Generation Now for more information.
The conflicting claims provide no clarity on what truly went down between Drama and Top 5. However, people have since come forward with accounts of the altercation.
The incident allegedly happened after DJ Drama’s performance at the popular Century nightclub on King Street in Toronto. An eyewitness who was reportedly at the scene of the attack claimed that the snatching happened inside the club itself.

So far, no actual footage of the alleged attack has yet turned up.
In other DJ Drama news, he recently dropped a list of all the artists he would like to do a Gangsta Grillz tape with in the future.
After working on Tyler, The Creator’s Grammy-winning Call Me If You Get Lostin 2021, Drama has been on a tangent – putting out Gangsta Grillz tapes with Jeezy, Snoop Dogg, Symba, French Montana, NBA YoungBoy, Jim Jones and more. After releasing his own studio album in March, I’m Really Like That, the Philly native is now eying new talent.
“I’ve had the conversation with Stove God [Cooks],” Drama told XXLabout his future collaborators. “I would love to do a project with him. I think a GloRillaGangsta Grillz would be fire. Maybe even like Ice Spice or maybe Lady London. So many dope females out there.”
