Diddy has scored a minor victory in his attempt to be freed from jail as his bail appeal was put on hold while he awaits a new bail hearing in U.S. District Court.

The embattled mogul received the news on Thursday (October 24) when the order was filed.

Last week, independent reporter Meghann Cuniff shared information on the evolving situation, around the same time that the request was granted despite the objection of prosecutors.

“Prosecutors have filed opposition to Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ bail appeal with 2nd Circuit,” she wrote on X (formerly Twitter). “In arguing that Judge Carter erred, Combs entirely ignores the serious and violent nature of the charges against him, and the strength of the evidence against him.”

In a second tweet, Cuniff added: “HOWEVER, Combs’ lawyers want the appeal put on hold while they pursue a new bail hearing in U.S. District Court.

“The renewed request is based on changed circumstances warranting a new bail hearing, which the district court is best suited to consider in the first instance.'”

Diddy has also recently received support from his family, who declared their support for the embattled mogul while also hitting out against the “absurd” claims and “false narratives” that have wreaked havoc on their family.

Six of the Bad Boy boss’ seven children — Quincy, Justin, Christian, Chace and twins Jessie and D’Lila — issued a joint statement on Instagram on Tuesday (October 22) addressing the intense scrutiny and speculation surrounding their father amid his criminal sex case and mounting sexual assault lawsuits.

Alongside a recent photo of them with their father in happier times, the Combs children wrote: “The past month has devastated our family. Many have judged both him and us based on accusations, conspiracy theories, and false narratives that have spiraled into absurdity on social media.

“We stand united, supporting you every step of the way. We hold onto the truth, knowing it will prevail, and nothing will break the strength of our family. WE MISS YOU & LOVE YOU DAD.”

Diddy is currently in jail awaiting trial on charges of sex trafficking, racketeering and transportation to engage in prostitution.

Federal prosecutors have accused the 54-year-old of forcing women to have sex with male prostitutes for his pleasure, as well as running a criminal enterprise that engaged in kidnapping, arson and bribery, among other crimes, for over a decade.
