Denzel Curry has revealed that A$AP Rocky removed him from A$AP Mob‘s Cozy Tapes Vol. 2 album over his past friendship with SpaceGhostPurrp.

The Florida rapper spoke about his relationship with Pretty Flacko in an interview with People Magazine and explained how his former Raider Klan mentor got in the way of him being featured on the 2017 A$AP Mob release.

“I was supposed to be on the original Cozy Tapes Vol. 2 on ‘Bahamas,'” Curry said. “But [Rocky] took me off because me and Purpp got cool [again] around that time.”

The Melt My Eyez See Your Future MC revealed he later confronted Rocky about being cut from the song and they were able to hash things out.

“And then me and [Rocky] had a talk and I was telling him like, ‘Bro, your problem with Purpp is not your problem with me, so you shouldn’t have took it out on me. You should have just hollered at me,'” he continued. “And he was like, ‘Yeah, I know. My bad,’ this that third. And we got cool.”

Denzel and Rocky have since reconnected on the song “Hoodlumz,” from the former’s latest album King of the Mischievous South Vol. 2, while Curry indicated in his People interview that he and SpaceGhostPurrp are no longer cool.

“Purpp kept trying me, so no, he was not getting on the [album],” he said.

A$AP Rocky and SpaceGhost have long had issues with each other.

Back in 2020, Purrp posted a photo on X (then Twitter) of the “Peso” rapper in a hot tub and claimed that he was gay.

“I’m tired of holding my tongue,” he wrote. “Back in 2011 I was invited to dis party in new York by asap rocky I was pullin up wit my girl n shit and I was on da phone like yo bruh where u at I don’t see he was like ‘YO LOOK DOWN IM RIGHT HERE.’ Next thing u know he in da pool rubbin a mans ass.”

Purrp was adamant that this was why he was ostracized by the majority of his rap peers.

“SO IF U WANNA KNOW WHY ‘ASAP ROCKY AND ASAP and EVERY RAPPER’ HATE ME so much it’s because I stopped hangin wit him becuase he didnt tell me dat he was homosexual on da low,” he continued. “and I felt like he lied bout his life so n order for him 2 keep his secret. he got me black listed in music.”

SpaceGhostPurrp previously accused A$AP Mob of being “devil worshippers” in 2013 during a back and forth with A$AP Twelvyy.
