Dame Dash thinks Kanye West‘s latest fashion choices purposefully look like a “crackhead” would wear them because he’s trolling everyone.

The Roc-A-Fella co-founder appeared on an episode of Willie D‘s eponymous podcast on Tuesday (January 16), where they got into the topic of his former signee. The Geto Boys member has been outspoken in his disdain for Ye’s antics over the years and was curious about Dame’s take on it as well.

“He’s a person that pulls triggers,” Dame said. “Look at his career. [He said] ‘George Bush doesn’t like Black people,’ ran up on Taylor Swift. It’s one publicity stunt after another. That’s his model is triggering you. Just like Trump – every time Trump says something racist and we hate it, somebody loves it. He’s not talking for us. He’s talking for the ones that love it, Trump. So it’s the same thing.”

He continued: “That’s why I don’t pay him no mind. He’s a troll. He got everybody dressing like a crackhead, bro. He’s doing this shit on purpose. I know what you’re doing, you’re trolling. He walk around barefoot, he’s trolling. ‘Watch this I can get dudes to wear tights and barefoot!’ I’m not saying we had that convo. When I see it I’m like, ‘Yo, he bugging,’ but I know he’s playing. You know? He wants you to get at him. Why would he do the things he does if he doesn’t want the reaction?”

This isn’t the first time Dame Dash has spoken on Kanye West’s behavior in recent years. Shortly after Ye came under fire in 2022 for making a series of antisemitic statements on social media and in various interviews, Dame told a group of burgeoning entrepreneurs that being in contact with Ye at the moment was “draining” and that people should be more concerned with his health than what he says.

“You think big brother turns off?” Dash said in footage captured by AllHipHop, answering a question about whether he can see himself being a big brother and guiding Kanye through his current situation. “Yeah, I’m in contact with him; it’s draining. But, you know, he’s bipolar. People forget that. I don’t care how rich you are, if you have a chemical imbalance, you’re gonna say some crazy things.”

He continued: “Anybody know someone bipolar? You don’t put them in front of a camera, you put them in a house or a hospital … you say the most outlandish things when you’re triggered and there’s a chemical imbalance, and also when you’re tired. It’s like being drunk.

“But, you know, I know him. And yeah, I do talk to him and I try. It’s painful to watch because someone with bipolar with a billion and a whole bunch of people that don’t care, it’s not a good formula.”

Though he previously confirmed he was bipolar, Ye more recently said he is not but instead “shows signs of autism” from his car accident in the early 2000s. However, autism is not something you can get from a car accident.
