Cordae and Anderson .Paak have returned with a new collaboration, and it might just be a preview of an entire project between them and J. Cole.
The Maryland rapper released his latest single “Two Tens” on Wednesday (January 25), which finds him teaming up with .Paak for the second time following “RNP,” which appeared his 2019 debut album The Lost Boy.

Just like their first collaboration, “Two Tens” is produced by J. Cole and finds the duo trading verses about their sexual exploits over a bouncy, head-nodding beat.
The song is accompanied by a vibrant, nightclub-themed video directed by Edgar Esteves and Juan Felipe Zuleta.
In an interview with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe, Cordae teased a possible joint project with Anderson .Paak, produced by J. Cole.
“You know what’s funny? We literally got a mixtape full of joints with me and .Paak,” he said. “Yeah, we literally got a mixtape full of joints of me and .Paak on. Well, we got an EP full of joints with me, .Paak and Cole Beats.

“[.Paak] is really like my real friend, like my brother. Everybody be, other artists be like, ‘Oh, that’s my brother,’ or, ‘Oh, that’s my man.’ And saying that shit just to sound cool.”
He continued: “I don’t really have too many friends, to be honest. He’s one of my real life, genuine friends. You know what I’m saying? And so I say that to say, that’s where it comes from, bro. Just because we just be kicking it, and we just be recording. Kicking it and recording.
“It won’t be like, ‘Yo, let’s just put this out next week.’ It’ll be like, ‘Yo, this song is a couple years old.’ You know what I’m saying? So I just always, I’m like man, I’m going to just hold on to this. And when the time, it feels right, it feels right. You know?”
Cordae also revealed he made 180 songs last year, but he’s taking his time when it comes to putting together his next album.

“I made a lot of songs last year,” he said. “I think last year I recorded literally 180 songs, which I know some artists record like a thousand songs. But it feels like that’s the most songs I recorded in a year, for sure. And last year it was also the most touring I did, so I’m proud of myself for still recording 180 songs.
“And really, bro, it may be to a fault or a good thing, but I’m a people-pleaser. So I really want to just make good music that the fans love, bro. I just don’t want to disappoint anybody, for real.”
Cordae released his latest album A Bird’s Eye View in January 2022. The project peaked at No. 13 on the Billboard 200, but he later admitted he didn’t think it was better than The Lost Boy.
