Over the weekend, Usher was also honored with the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers Voice of the Culture Award.
The accolade is given to ASCAP members who “have had a major influence on music and culture” in recognition of “their success as creators and changemakers,” according to a press release.
The singer was presented with the award at a party in Los Angeles last month as part of a celebration honoring the top R&B and soul musicians.
This only added to wildly successful year for Usher, who headlined the Super Bowl, wrapped up a 100-show Las Vegas residency and released his ninth studio album.
