Charlamagne Tha God has attempted to take credit for Drake and SZA’s“Slime You Out” debuting atop the Billboard Hot 100.
The radio host reacted to Drizzy’s latest No. 1 hit on Tuesday (September 26) which saw him giving himself a pat on the back for giving the song a boost thanks to his free promo.

“The plan worked. I did my job,” Charlamagne said. “I told y’all yesterday that Drake and I plan these things when he drops certain records. He wants me to hate on them because all noise is great noise nowadays.
“I told y’all the play because nobody believes me when I’m lying but you should believe me even when I’m lying. I’ve said enough. I am not lying.”

While co-host DJ Envy called cap on the entire Drake and Charlamagne joint operation, CTG wasn’t surprised to see “Slime You Out” go to No. 1 with the 6 God and SZA teaming up for their first collaboration.
“Well it’s Drake and SZA, people’s curiosity was gonna go make them stream the record,” he added. “Of course, radio was gon’ play the hell out of it. We played it every hour on the hour. Regardless of how people feel about it, the moral of the story is once again the plan worked.”

With Drake and SZA’s “Slime You Out” cruising to No. 1, Drake has notched his 12th chart-topper overall and eighth hit that debuted at the apex.
The Drake and Charlamagne feud was reignited when the radio host dissed “Slime You Out” claiming “nobody cared.”
Drizzy jabbed CTG with a few Instagram Stories in retaliation and referred to him as the “off-brand Morris Chestnut.”
“In deep thought about how you the off brand Morris Chestnut,” Drizzy wrote underneath a photo of a pensive-looking Charlamagne from a 2022 Verywell Mind photoshoot, comparing him to the Boyz n the Hood actor.
In another since-deleted post, the Her Loss hitmaker aired out his grievances with Charlamagne more directly by writing: “Are you ok Lenard?? You kinda weirding me out g. Like you really obsessed with me or something for years like you look in the mirror and wish you saw my reflection type shit.

“Whatever you gotta do to let it out I’m sure your 435 loyal fans will stand by you ya fucking goof.”
Charlamagne Tha God then responded by claiming he was part of Drake’s album rollout for For All The Dogs.

“I want to tell y’all something, but you not gonna believe me because I’m lying, but Drake and I plan this out every time he drops an album. I’m part of the album rollout,” he said. “He drops a record, I critique it, it brings more attention to the record, more attention to the project.
“I keep telling Drake he doesn’t need me to do that; he’s Drake. But for whatever reason, he wants me to do it so I oblige!”
