Chance The Rapper has added two more shows to his planned Acid Rap celebrations for his acclaimed mixtape’s 10th anniversary.
Last month, Chance announced a special concert to celebrate the anniversary of his breakout project, which is set to take place at Chicago’s United Center on August 19.

Now, due to high demand, the Grammy-winning rapper plans to commemorate the occasion with not one, but three shows, announcing the additional two during a recent appearance on Late Night With Seth Myers.
The New York show will take place at the Barclays Center on August 26, while the L.A. concert will happen at the Kia Forum on September 21. Tickets will be available via Live Nation on Friday (May 5), with a presale going live on Wednesday (May 3).
During his conversation with Seth Myers, Chance The Rapper was asked to reflect on how far he had come as an independent artist, which he said had a lot to do with the confidence in his ability to succeed.
“I was always making music, and performing, and doing talent shows since I was a little kid, so when I decided to the be a rapper, I was always hoping that it would be successful,” he said.
Chance also discussed some of his early performances, and various stage names that he used at the beginning of his career such as “Tony Jizzle.”
Released in April 2013 before the streaming era, Acid Rap kickstarted Chance The Rapper’s career in a big way.

Despite being released for free, the project still ended up denting the Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart due to bootleg downloads on iTunes and Amazon.
The project’s official home was the mixtape site DatPiff, where it has since been certified “Diamond” with over one million downloads. In addition to Saba, the tape featured appearances from Childish Gambino, Twista, Vic Mensa, Ab-Soul and Noname.
