Cardi B‘s Invasion of Privacy Now looks like it has begun to regain momentum, following the release of Nicki Minaj‘s Pink Friday 2.
Cardi’s five-year-old project was a historic release, doing huge numbers and staying on the charts literally for years. On Friday (December 8), the album re-entered the iTunes Hip-Hop/Rap chart in the U.S., climbing up to No. 2, just behind Nicki’s new album.

The iTunes chart is a record of songs and albums purchased on iTunes, so the new stats do not reflect streaming numbers, even on Apple’s own platform.
Other catalog releases on the chart as of this writing include a number of albums by Eminem, Dr. Dre’s The Chronic, 50 Cent’s Get Rich or Die Tryin’, and three prior Nicki Minaj albums.
Invasion of Privacy seemingly re-entered the iTunes chart at the no. 5 position before quickly nabbing the second spot from the top.
Whether the iTunes bump will push Cardi’s debut album back onto the Billboard 200 album chart remains to be seen.

In addition to renewed album interest, Cardi has recently been in the news for potential issues in her marriage.
She and her husband, former Migos member Offset, sparked rumors on Monday (December 4), when they both made vague comments online about relationships without directly addressing each other.
Cardi B wrote on her Instagram Stories: “You know when you just grow out of relationships,” later adding: “I’m tired of protecting people’s feelings… I GOTTA PUT MYSELF FIRST!”
Offset also posted a clip on Instagram from the film Scarface which features Tony Montana saying: “Hey, fuck you, man! Who put this thing together? Me. That’s who. Who do I trust? Me.”

This is not the first time drama has crept into the couple’s relationship in recent months. Offset accused his wife of infidelity earlier this year.
