Cardi B has done more than her share of guest verses lately, but it seems like she may have a new collaborator on the way soon: Popeyes.

On Friday (July 26) the Bronx superstar responded affirmatively on X to an offer from the restaurant franchise to “come thru the test kitchen to collab on some wing flavors.”

“Free wings??? Where y’all at? COME PICK ME UP,” she responded.

The saga began earlier this week when Bardi, in video caught by TMZ, said that Popeyes new honey lemon pepper wings were “not it.”

“It’s just not good,” she continued. “It takes like a fucking Sprite soda. I don’t fucking like it.”

That led to Popeyes’ post, visible above: “bardi gang… since ya girl had some thoughts on our honey lemon pepper wings, we’d love to have her come thru the test kitchen to collab on some wing flavors.”

This is not the first time Cardi has shared her opinions about Popeyes. Back in the fall of 2021, she reviewed her “WAP” collaborator Megan Thee Stallion’s “Hottie Sauce” that the franchise put out.

According to the Bronx rapper, Megan’s sauce was otherworldly.

“Bomb. ‘Cause it’s like… it smells and it feels like it’s going to hit you with, like, Louisiana Hot Sauce,” Cardi B said in a short video. “But then it goes to like a different world like a sweet and sour.”

Fans were quick to poke fun at Cardi B’s review, focusing especially on her elaborate manicure.

“Shorty got them Edward scissorhands nails,” one person wrote, while another said, “N-gga i thought them was crab claws.” Another follower wrote, “Wtf is Luciana’s hot sauce,” poking fun at Cardi’s pronunciation of Lousiana.

Megan Thee Stallion announced her Popeyes brand partnership on Instagram in October 2021. On top of putting out a new sauce, Megan also became a franchise owner and, she said at the time, would oversee the development of her own Popeyes locations.

“Not only does ya girl have an official sauce but I’m also now a franchise owner and will be opening up my very own Popeyes locations ??? #megantheestallionhottiesauce,” Megan wrote in the caption of her Instagram announcement.
