Cam’ron has shared a new freestyle in response to Anthony Edwards belittling his sports takes in a new Adidas commercial.
Earlier this week, the Minnesota Timberwolves starred in a new ad for his custom basketball shoes in which he can be seen practicing his moves as a receipt machine keeps printing comments people have made about him that he is determined to prove wrong.

“Cam’ron said, ‘To me, he’s an All-Star, but not a superstar, yet,’” his friend Slick reads out at one point, to which AE responds with a succinct: “Fuck buddy.”
On the latest episode of It Is What It Is that was published on Monday (June 3), the Dipset MC opened with some clap-back bars over the instrumental of Black Rob‘s iconic “Whoa!”

“Fuck wrong with Ant Man?/ Gave him his props, homie got love from me/ New commercial — ya’ll ain’t got love for me?/ He shot a jump shot and said ‘Fuck buddy’/That receipt reader looking like your fuck buddy,” he raps, before shifting his attention to the corporation that funded the promotion.
“Adidas, I’m blaming you, this is your fault,” Killa continues. “C’mon just stop it, dude, ya’ll just stopping through/ He do something ya’ll don’t like, you’ll drop him, too/ Fuckin’ careers up — T-Mac, Derrick Rose, RG3, John Wall, let em’ know.”

He also set a few bars aside to apologize to CNN correspondent Abby Phillip for his conduct during a recent interview with her, during which he refused to speak on Diddy’s legal troubles past a certain point: “I duck the FBI, what I care about CNN?/ I put money on the house where you lay your head/ Apologize Abby anything I may have said, but the play was already read/ Get a Black woman and Black man and kill a Black man that’s already dead.”

Soon after he got done spitting, the 48-year-old took a moment to address his issues with the basketball star.
“Even though I did a little freestyle this morning, I’m not going to even go back-and-forth, man, ’cause I’m a fan. I’m really an Anthony Edwards fan, and he’s 22 — you’re supposed to have that attitude when you’re 22 years old, and I dig it,” he said, while still managing to slip in a dig about the NBA player getting knocked out of the playoffs by the Dallas Mavericks. “He tried that with Kyrie [Irving]; how’d that work out?
Cam then set the record straight about his real issue with the commercial in question.
“My real gripe, to be honest with you, was [with] Adidas,” he continued. “I deal with the bosses. Adidas, this what ya’ll want to do? I’m just asking, this what ya’ll want to do? ‘Cause listen, when I had Sebastian Telfair on the show and he was dissing ya’ll, ya’ll called me and was like, ‘Yo, could we work something out?’

After explaining that he initially let the company know that he had no issues with them, the “Hey Ma” hitmaker doubled down on his bars about all Adidas-sponsored athletes who suffered major injuries during their careers with a detailed analysis.
