Cam’ron has offered J Morant some career advice, using his failed basketball career as a cautionary tale for the embattled NBA star.
The Dipset rapper took to Instagram on Sunday (June 11) to share throwback photos of his college basketball days at Navarro Junior College in Texas while reflecting on getting kicked out for hitting someone with a gun.

He went on to advise Morant, who has recently been facing his own consequences for carrying a weapon, to focus on his career.
“I was on bull shit in college,” Cam’ron wrote. “I got kicked out for pistol whipping a n-gga. (Which I don’t condone) lucky I had a plan B and C. Ja don’t be me you can’t rap!!! Lol as you can see its a lil blurry but it was still the set.”
In March, Cam’ron chalked Ja Morant’s gun controversy down to “Gary Coleman Syndrome” and reacted to outlets reporting he had begun a “healing process.”
“The fuck is a healing process?!” he questioned at the time. “See, you know what happens on some G shit, and I’m not being funny or none of this shit because they’ll say we insensitive because we grew up in another era.

“N-ggas gotta stop playing with this mental health shit, for real. When n-ggas get in trouble and n-ggas ain’t doing shit right, n-ggas is running to that. ‘You know what? I bugged out and my brain ain’t working right.’”
The Harlem native later weighed in on Ja Morant’s troubles in May when dancers demanded an apology from the player after brandishing a gun inside a Colorado strip club.
“Alright, I heard about kicking a dog when he’s down, but y’all bitches buggin,’” he said. “Listen, if Pooh Shiesty was in there with a pistol, and stuck it all in your face, you’d be hype and all types of shit.
“If [Lil] Durk came in there and smacked you with the pistol, you’d fall on the floor and do a muthafuckin’ backflip and love it, as long as he throwing money on you. Now, because n-gga Ja Morant going through a little something, y’all see it’s all NBA and gun control.

“A n-gga got a pistol in the strip club every fucking night. It’s a n-gga with a pistol in there and he’ll turn ya bitches on. Y’all get excited when y’all see the pistol.
“N-gga drink a bottle, show you the pistol, throw the 1’s and you go home or slide with that n-gga. Now you wanna kick Ja Morant when he down? That’s fucked up.”
He added: “Now, Adam Silver and the rest of the NBA, they got a right to do that. Y’all dancers see guns every night. Cut the shit. That’s my opinion.”
