Cam’ron has claimed that he once saved DJ Khaled from getting robbed by his crew.

Killa Cam teased a snippet of unreleased music on Instagram on Wednesday (August 30) while announcing that his new mixtape The Lost Files will arrive on September 8.

On the song, the Dipset rapper recalls calling the dogs off the We The Best mogul once upon a time after some of his homies were sizing him up.

While he omits the “DJ” in Khaled’s name, leaving his lyrics open to interpretation, Cam does reference two of the hitmaker’s signature catchphrases: “another one!” and “God did!”

“Old 40th, your g-pass is not that valid/ I swear to God I stopped my young boys from robbing Khaled (another one)/Cam did!” he raps.

It’s unclear when the alleged incident took place, but DJ Khaled was slated to host a Dipset mixtape alongside Swizz Beatz, Mustard and Funk Flex back in 2015.

Elsewhere in his post, Cam’ron revealed that Ma$e has finally got his publishing back from Diddy, ending their decades-long dispute.

“My n-gga murder had to sit this one out. He just got his publishing back from Puff. Just finished the paper work for that yesterday,” he wrote in the caption. “Congrats @rsvpmase while he getting his music back in order, I’m dumping my hard drive pause. The lost files vol 1. Sept 8.”

Ma$e has long been vocal about his issues with Diddy, whose Bad Boy Records he was signed to in the late ’90s and early ’00s, but their dispute over his publishing came to a head in 2020 when the Harlem native put his former label boss on blast on social media.

In a scathing Instagram post, Murda Mase claimed Puff took advantage of him by giving him just $20,000 for his publishing rights when he first joined Bad Boy and later turned down his $2 million offer to buy back his catalog.

Meanwile, Cam’ron and Ma$e announced last week that they had inked an eight-figure deal to bring their It Is What It Is sports talk show to Underdog Fantasy.

They didn’t put an exact dollar amount on it at the time, but in his new song snippet, Cam claims it was worth $30 million.
