Bun B‘s beloved UGK poncho has been returned safely to him after the Houston legend offered a $1,000 no-questions-asked reward to whoever could get it back.
Bun first announced the custom PURPLE Brand garment was missing in a post to his Instagram on Monday (March 6). Just two days later, it was back in his hands.

“Poncho Trilla has returned!” he wrote in his first of two Instagram posts about its homecoming. “Ready to protect the town from pesky varmints and yellow bellied sidewinders and then ride off into the sunset! #foundtheponcho”
In a second post, he added: “The poncho is officially home!
#PonchoTrilla is back in business!!! #FoundThePoncho”
Upon his initial post about its disappearance, many fans voiced their disgust with the fact someone would potentially steal from the Trill OG in Houston of all places.
“Wow! Who would steal from the OG smh, better not be someone from H-Town,” one person wrote, while another chimed in: “Poncho Trilla has set the reward and the garment shall be returned by sundown.”
Bun B hit the stage alongside Juvenile and Mannie Fresh in the custom UGK poncho and a matching cowboy hat on Friday night (March 3) as part of the Southern Takeover entertainment portion of the rodeo weekend in front of a sold-out NRG Center filled with 74,000 attendees.
Bun’s popular Trill Burgers also had a pop-up at the show – but fans will soon be able to go to a permanent location in Houston thanks to the launch of a new brick and mortar restaurant.

Located in the Montrose neighborhood of Houston, the 3,236-square-foot building features a drive-thru and was formerly home to one of Houston’s longest-running James Coney Island locations.
Launched in Houston in 2021 with a series of pop-ups, Trill Burgers was crowned “best burger in America” by Good Morning America this past July. It’s also received celebrity co-signs among the likes of James Harden, Busta Rhymes, Jadakiss and more – with the latter noting that the burgers are “like a Dr. Dre beat.”
The restaurant is set to open in the coming months.
