Bow Wow has been sharply criticized for claiming that he misses going to Diddy‘s parties since the mogul was arrested for sex trafficking and racketeering.
The rapper and actor made the controversial comments on Rocsi Diaz’s More to the Story podcast, where he was asked about the legal drama surrounding the Bad Boy boss.

“Bruh supposed to be on a 250-foot yacht with his wife, legs up, chilling, this how you ride it out,” he said. “It seems unreal at times. Me and Jermaine [Dupri] spoke about and I was like, ‘I never thought we would see him in this position. Ever.’
“He’s like the gatekeeper to the game. To the point where… BET Awards weekend? The past two, they just didn’t feel right ’cause there was no motion, there was no parties, there was nowhere to go.”

Bow Wow then clarified that he was refering to Puffy’s star-studded parties and not the alleged “freak offs” that are at the heart of his criminal case, before continuing his original point.
“I said, ‘Jermaine, there’s no parties!’ You feel it, it’s like a hole. He was everything Hip Hop!” he added. “For that to die out, you just would have never thought … It’s sad and it’s messed up that we gotta witness this.”
Bow Wow was criticized by many online for his comments about Diddy, who in addition to his federal charges has been hit with numerous sexual assault lawsuits since last year.
“Bow Wow needs to STFU. This is some insensitive bs,” one critic wrote on X (former Twitter), while another added: “This just pissed me off… N-ggas worried about parties meanwhile women were getting abused and assaulted…”

A third user echoed that sentiment, commenting: “He was asked how he felt about everything and the best he could do is lament the fact that there were less parties during award weekends and less alcohol flowing. MY MAN. MY GUY. DO YOU HEAR YOURSELF?”
“I may tell you a joke but never a lie! As a dad Bow Wow should be disgusted by Diddy,” a fourth viewer lamented.
Diddy was recently given a trial date of May 5, 2025 in his sex trafficking case after his attorneys accused the government of leaking evidence to the media.
The mogul’s attorneys claimed the government were behind several leaks which “have led to damaging, highly prejudicial pretrial publicity that can only taint the jury pool and deprive Mr. Combs of his right to a fair trial.”

These leaks include the hotel surveillance video of Diddy assaulting his ex-girlfriend Cassie in 2016, the release of which they allege was “planned and executed” by the Department of Homeland Security.
In response, prosecutors have accused Diddy’s legal team of trying “to exclude a damning piece of evidence” with their “baseless” claims.

Prosecutors have also hinted at filing a superseding indictment which can add extra charges and/or defendants to the case and likely lead to a delay in the trial.
