“He tells y’all he don’t want my girlfriend around but he don’t tell y’all that she be around. And when she around, he ain’t never gonna come at me and say, ‘Go take her home.’ He never once said that,” she said.
“Another thing is: if he would have came to me and said, ‘I love you, I respect you, but I just don’t want you to bring your girlfriend to my house,’ I would have respected him. But [he] ain’t never say nothing.

Poison Ivi was referencing recent comments made by Boosie Badazz on Yung Miami‘s Caresha Please show where he revealed that he prohibited his daughter from bringing her girlfriend to his home out of fear she would “contaminate” his other children.
“She still can’t bring her situation to our house […] because I don’t want it to contaminate her other six, seven sisters who look up to her,” he said.

“I want them to bring up these grandchildren the right way. If I want grandchildren the right way, that’s what I’ma stand on. If I don’t want my other lil’ girl to look at that and say, ‘What’s that, daddy?’ To somebody she looks up to? It’s not gonna come around my [house].”
He added: “My grandfather didn’t let it, my daddy didn’t let it and I didn’t let it. I just hope the one under me, when they this grown, they not gon’ let it ’cause that’s not what our family believes in.”
Poison Ivi initially addressed her father’s comments in a lengthy and emotional video posted on Instagram, expressing disappointment at him continually discussing her sexuality in public but not with her privately.
“It’s crazy because I never downplayed you, I never said you was a bad father, because you not!” she said in part. “You gon’ make sure yo kids straight, you always gon’ do that. But emotionally? Mentally? You suck.

“And I know you suck with that because you’d rather go to the internet and have a conversation with the internet about your kids before you come to us. He done did ’bout six, seven interviews ’bout me being gay.”
She added: “I would respect if just one time you say, ‘My daughter knows how I feel about that, can we move on to the next question?’ I can never get that from you […] I feel like you just don’t be caring. You don’t care about my feelings.”
