The Detroit native said: “I know he wouldn’t do that ’cause that’s trash. I know he wouldn’t do no shit like that. Whoever did do that, just know that it did fuck me up. I know he ain’t do that. N-ggas talking about, ‘Ye did that.’ I know he ain’t do that.”
As he gave fans a mini tour of his mansion, Sean continued: “You see this plaque right here? It says 185 million records sold under G.O.O.D. Music. I love G.O.O.D. Music. Shit, they made more money off my music than I did!
“And leaking a n-gga’s shit? I had access to a lot of exclusives — not just him, but other people’s too. And I would never leak nobody’s shit, so I know he ain’t do that. Whoever started that rumor, y’all on some bullshit.”

The person who leaked Big Sean’s album claimed that they did so at the instruction of Kanye West.
“Ye told me to leak it,” they wrote, while also suggesting that it was in retaliation to Sean dissing Kanye in his recent On the Radar freestyle.

“I had to switch the home team ’cause they committed treason […] N-ggas looking for engagement like they got their knee bent / I got better things to do than to find someone to beef with,” he rapped, alluding to West’s disparaging comments about him on Drink Champs in 2021.
Sean also made a thinly-veiled reference to the Chicago rap legend getting identical tattoos with Lil Uzi Vert and Steve Lacy, spitting: “Man, this industry is terrible, I can’t even vouch / I’ve seen grown men get matching tattoos for the clout.”
Kanye has not yet responded to the speculation that he was behind the leak nor Sean’s freestyle.
Days after seeing an unfinished version of his album leak, Big Sean officially announced the title, Better Me Than You, and August 9 release date.
