In the snippet, the 36-year-old can be heard rapping: “We in this bitch, back focused, right? / Fuck that overnight success, I want it over life / I’m overseeing what I’m seeing, fuck a oversight / From the other side of the screen like a poltergeist / I’m in this bitch dropping gems like I’m off the ice / They had to name they son Sean cause the boy that bright, right?”

Sean also hinted that new music would drop this week after being asked by a fan when they could expect a release.

The “Bounce Back” MC also spoke about the challenge of making his new album, being away from his one-year-old son who is currently with his girlfriend Jhené Aiko on tour and staying sober.

“For no reason, either. I stopped drinking in 2022 ’cause that shit was just fucking me up. Mentally, that muthafucking alcohol, it’s a depressent so if you dealing with any anxiety like me — I always be thinking about what I gotta do, how I gotta do it, what’s next et cetera.”

I meditate every morning, but I also got straps in the studio — not them straps; I keep guns. [This album] really represents what the fuck I’ve been going through for these past couple of years.”

Sean also said that his upcoming project represents his “best music” and, despite having “some good features,” will be more of solo affair compared to his past work.

“Let me tell you. I already decided that when I die, on my tombstone it’s gonna say, ‘I deserve to be here because I signed Big Sean,'” he said.

“I know this man’s mama. I’ve changed this man’s family. And both John Legend and Big Sean, when I ran for office, got used quick by the Democrats to come at their boy that actually changed they life, and that’s some sellout shit. And I don’t rock with neither of them, and I need their apologies.”
