Big Daddy Kane has released numerous classics and is among the greats of Hip Hop, but a new freestyle shows that he still gets the job done — at least according to stars like LL COOL J and Common.
King Asiatic Nobody’s Equal posted a short but impressive verse to Instagram on Friday (March 22) along with the caption: “WEEKEND BARZ!!! Get ‘em while they Hot!!! [fire emojis].”

It begins: “Straight from them Brooklyn streets where they could see me at/ Where it’s never easy at, that’s the borough we be at/ Real hitters keep the strap for any type of beef or spat/ Make your head tilt back like Adebisi hat.”
The video garnered praise from a murder’s row of veteran MCs and producers including LL COOL J, Common, Poor Righteous Teachers spitter Wise Intelligent, Easy Mo Bee, Bomb Squad member Keith Shocklee, Dana Dane, Kwame, Chuck D, Cypress Hill, Fredro Starr of Onyx, the two surviving members of De La Soul and many more.

Kane is not just a great freestyler; he’s also a good audience for it.
Last December, a clip was posted to URL TV in which Fugees rapper Wyclef Jean is seen spitting to the Juice Crew founding member during a Hip Hop 50 celebration.

The legends clearly were impressed with one another, as Clef did his part for both the lyrical and the numerical word play.
Wyclef is far from the only rapper Big Daddy Kane is a fan of. During his appearance on Drink Champs last September, he named J. Cole, Conway The Machine and Benny The Butcher as some of his current favorites.
“J. Cole is my favorite MC of this era. Shoutout to Conway The Machine, I love him to death. Benny The Butcher,” Kane said, much to Benny’s delight.
“I’m still humble,” the Buffalo spitter said about the compliment in a later interview. “I didn’t even know Kane knew who the fuck I was. So it’s like, when he was doing his shit, he was considered that guy. So it’s like he’s comparing me to those guys.
