Big Boi‘s contributions to music with both OutKast and as a solo artist have put him in a rare stratosphere of fame, but it’s his care for the artists he’s mentored, like Janelle Monáe, that really stands out.

During a recent interview with The Bootleg Kev Podcast, Monáe chatted with the host about some of the life lessons she’s learned from her peers. Monáe noted that while Diddy helped her career flourish, none of it would be possible without Big Boi.
