“Beyoncé is [rumored] to be preparing a residency at the Vegas Sphere, said to be announced during a #SuperBowl [LVIII emoji] ad in partnership with Verizon,” shared a fan account on Twitter.
Though the plans haven’t officially been announced yet, Forbes reported last year that “the singer’s team is requesting a substantial $10 million to produce a high-tech stage show.”
Bey taking over the Sphere could indeed be a profitable move for both parties involved. Last summer, Touring Data reported that Beyoncé’s Renaissance World Tour became the highest-grossing trek by a Black musician, amassing $296 million from 33 shows, and that was with 23 shows still left on her itinerary.
Additionally, she shattered records for the highest-grossing concerts by a female as well as a Black artist with her back-to-back performances at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. Each night raked in $16.541 million, totaling $33 million.
As the highest-grossing Black artist ever, Beyoncé has earned $1.3 billion from the sales of 11.2 million tickets over her career.
More recently, the Beyhive was treated to two new tracks by the Houston native during her Super Bowl ad spot for Verizon. In it, she announced the arrival of Renaissance: act ii in a multi-layered reveal, utilizing the network’s iconic “Can You Hear Me Now” tech in various schemes to test if she could “break the internet” once again.

The unexpected Verizon ad successfully directed fans to Beyoncé’s socials in search of additional hints . Shortly after the premiere, she unveiled a Texas-themed trailer for the new project, which is set to arrive on March 29.
Moments later, she returned to Instagram to release “Texas Hold ‘Em” and “16 Carriages.”
