Beyoncé, Nicki Minaj and Ice Spice were among the winners at the People’s Choice Awards 2024.
While she was not in attendance, Queen Bey picked up R&B Artist of the Year, beating out SZA, The Weeknd, Usher, Victoria Monét, Janelle Monáe, Brent Faiyaz and Tems.

It was her only win of the night as she lost out on Female Artist of the Year to Taylor Swift and also Concert Tour of the Year to the “Antihero” singer.
Ice Spice also picked up New Artist of the Year ahead of Coi Leray, Jelly Roll, Jung Kook, Noah Kahan, Peso Pluma, PinkPantheress and Stephen Sanchez.
Spice reacted to her win by calling herself “the people’s choice” on X (formerly Twitter).
Nicki Minaj was a two-time winner on the night, taking home Hip Hop Artist of the Year over Cardi B, Drake, Future, Jack Harlow, Latto, Post Malone and Travis Scott.
It was the third time Minaj won Hip Hop Artist of the Year, with the rapper now possessing six People’s Choice Awards after winning her first in 2013.

Nicki and Ice Spice also won for their song “Barbie World” from the Barbie soundtrack, with the track picking up Collaboration of the Year.
The Pink Friday 2 hitmaker was also nominated for Album of the Year, but the trophy was taken home by Olivia Rodrigo for “Guts.” She was additionally nominated for Social Celebrity of the Year which was again won by Taylor Swift.
Gunna and Doja Cat were nominated for Song of the Year for “Fukumean” and “Paint the Town Red,” respectively, but Rodrigo again won for her hit single “Vampire.”
Elsewhere, Chris Rock won Comedy Act of the Year for his Netflix special Selective Outrage, beating out comics such as Trevor Noah, Amy Schumer, Kevin Hart and Marlon Wayans.

Drake left the awards empty handed despite his four nominations. The Canadian has never won at the People’s Choice Awards despite a total of 27 nominations over the last 13 years.
Drizzy also went empty handed at the Grammys earlier this month where he was nominated four times.

He criticized the ceremony afterwards, saying: “All you incredible artists remember this show isn’t the facts — it’s just the opinion of a group of people whose names are kept a secret. Literally. You can Google it.
“Congrats to anybody winning anything for Hip Hop, but this show doesn’t dictate shit in our world.”
