Beyoncé has revealed the tracklist for Cowboy Carter, which includes a cover of an iconic Dolly Parton song that has become a staple of the country genre.
On Wednesday (March 27), the Houston native took to social media to reveal the songs she will release as part of her highly anticipated new album March 29.

The album will features a cover of Parton’s evergreen hit “Jolene” as well as a song titled “The Linda Martell Show,” which pays homage to the first Black female country artist to perform at the famed Grand Ole Opry in Nashville.
Additionally, the LP comprises song titles such as “Smoke Hour Willie Nelson” and “Dolly P.” — as of now, it is unclear if these are features or tributes.
Beyoncé’s unique approach to the revealing the above tracklist isn’t the first case of inventive advertising in her Cowboy Carter era.
Earlier this month, a promotion for the album appeared on the facade of the Guggenheim, though a spokesperson for the New York City museum later revealed that it was never officially authorized.
In a statement shared with Complex, a representative of the venue stopped short of denouncing the projection, which went viral on social media the night before.
“The Guggenheim was not informed about and did not authorize this activation,” the person wrote. “However, we invite the public—including Beyoncé and her devoted fans—to visit the museum May 16–20 when we present projections by artist Jenny Holzer on the facade of our iconic building to celebrate the opening of her major exhibition.”

Soon after the statement was sent out, the museum shared a cheeky Instagram post referencing the Bey craze with a post of German artist Franz Marc’s painting, “Three Horses Drinking.”
In the caption, they wrote: “This Ain’t Texas [cowboy emoji].”
Rumors of Dolly Parton’s involvement in the forthcoming album have been circulating for a while now, and the country legend herself praised Queen B’s pivot to her genre last month.

The “9 to 5” singer shared her love for the 42-year-old on Instagram, writing: “I’m a big fan of Beyoncé and very excited that she’s done a country album. So congratulations on your Billboard Hot Country number one single. Can’t wait to hear the full album. Love, Dolly Parton.”
Beyoncé become the first Black woman to reach No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart with her single, “Texas Hold ’Em.” Her other single, “16 Carriages,” also debuted at No. 9 on the same chart.
