“Rappers be droppin albums when nobody asked for em so I appreciate the anticipation from y’all [prayer hands emoji],” Benny wrote, before teasing some of the producers on the album. “Everybody Can’t Go x The Butcher x Def Jam x GxFR x B$F x HitBoy x Alchemist.”

Benny The Butcher has been teasing Everybody Can’t Go consistently over the last year. In August, the BSF rapper previewed a fiery guest feature from Lil Wayne that’s slated to land on the album.

He played the Weezy verse at a Buffalo day party he was hosting at the time. “This my new single off my album,” he told those in attendance. “This my first time doing some major shit. Def Jam shit. Play this shit — it’s the new single.”

“New Orleans to Buffalo/ Big dog Siberian Husky flow/ I been a big dog since a puppy though/ My kennel was the bungalow/ You could walk the dog I still run the show/ Run from me, n-ggas that be barking could be turned into hushpuppies,” Lil Wayne spits on the track.

Fans appreciated Wayne still being able to rhyme at a high level this many years into his Hall-of-Fame career. “Gahhh damn Wayne been going crazy again the last few years,” one person previously wrote on a Hip-Hop Wolf repost.

During this same month, Benny also spoke about the delay behind Everybody Can’t Go, and said by no means does the wait disqualify it from being the best album of 2023.

“My album ain’t coming out tonight or tomorrow,” Benny said on Instagram. “Just know I wasn’t as ready as I thought I was. Just know when you hear my shit it’s gonna be better than all this other shit you’ve been hearing all year.”

Along with showing off guest verses from his rap peers, the “Super Plug” rapper stoked competition flames when he claimed Everybody Can’t Go  would be Def Jam’s best release since DMX’s groundbreaking 1998 debut, It’s Dark and Hell Is Hot.

“Imma have the best Hip Hop @defjam album since DMX ‘It’s Dark & Hell is Hot,” Benny wrote on Twitter at the time.

To clarify how bold this claim is, Spotify’s Head Of Urban Music tweeted out previously that if Benny’s statement came to be true, that would mean it’d also surpass every Kanye West project from College Dropout to The Life of PabloJAY-Z’s Black Album and BlueprintJeezy’s The Recession and Thug Motivation 101Pusha T’s Daytona, Scarface’s The Fix and YG’s My Krazy Life.
