Anderson .Paak and Knxwledge have announced their plan to reunite as NxWorries for their first show in five years at NYC’s Blue Note Jazz Festival.

The pair, who haven’t performed together since stepping off stage at Oakland’s Blurry Vision Fest in 2018, were announced as performers on Tuesday (March 14) when the festival took to Instagram to reveal the bill. Other acts include Grace Jones, BJ The Chicago Kid, and Talib Kweli.

The annual jazz festival will kick off on May 31 in New York City across several venues, including the Beacon Theatre, Sony Hall, Town Hall, SummerStage in Central Park, and more. Ticketing information is available via the festival website.

“Celebrate a music filled summer with Blue Note Jazz Festival in New York City!” the festival wrote in the post’s caption. “Iconic headlining performances from Grace Jones, NxWorries, Robert Glasper, Pat Metheny, Buddy Guy Damn Right Farewell, Bruce Hornsby & The Noisemakers, Chucho Valdés & Paquito D’Rivera reunion, and many more!”

Aside from its New York festival, Blue Note expanded to Napa Valley last year. The Napa Valley festival is set to take place July 28-30, hosting a weekend of performances at the Silverado Resort, including one with artist-in-residence Robert Glasper and Dave Chappelle.

The upcoming show follows NxWorries’ return to music last October with their latest single “Where I Go” featuring H.E.R.

In 2018, NxWorries appeared to go on an unannounced hiatus. Since then, Anderson .Paak has released numerous solo albums and formed the Grammy-winning duo Silk Sonic with Bruno Mars. The pair dropped their debut, An Evening with Silk Sonic, back in 2021 and won four Grammy awards, including Record of the Year and Song of the Year.

As for Knxwledge, he’s been spending his time producing for a number of rap heavyweights, including Mach-Hommy, Earl Sweatshirt, Action Bronson, Westside Gunn, and others.

Outside of music, Anderson .Paak has kept himself busy. Last summer, the Oxnard crooner dropped his latest Vans collection. Paak’s third collection with the shoe brand was titled the “Vanderson Collection,” and included an array of t-shirts, sneakers like the EPack Sport, apparel, and more accessories hand-picked by the Silk Sonic artist himself.

“Vans was super patient with me on this one,” he said in a statement. “We met every week in Malibu and designed these shoes in the California sunshine. This is my best drop yet and I’m so proud of what we’ve come up with.”
