Amber Rose has admitted that she hasn’t been the same person since her split from Wiz Khalifa, whom she formally divorced in 2016.
The model and Slut Walk founder sat down with the No Jumper podcast on Thursday (November 16), where she revealed that she was so devastated about her breakup with the Taylor Gang leader-turned-weed-preneur that she wept incessantly.

“We’re literally best friends,” she said, referring to their co-parenting relationship. “We’re just a family, and that’s how we look at it. Once you just make it about the kids, and not just who he’s, y’know, or who she’s, y’know, or what they’re doing, life is easy.”
She continued: “I think it’s only hard when you still have feelings. Once you let the feelings go, you understand that you have to make it all about the child, or you’re just going to argue all day about dumb shit. […] I cried for three years straight. For sure. That was the love of my life.”
Amber Rose and Wiz Khalifa started dating back in 2011, before quickly getting engaged in 2012, and marrying a year later. Their marriage only lasted 18 months before Amber filed for divorce in 2014, citing “irreconcilable differences.”
But this isn’t the first time that Amber has spoken about her relationship with Wiz and the effect it had on her life.

Shortly after their split in 2014, Amber Rose shared how their relationship ended and the effects it had on her. However, Amber made sure to note that Wiz was “the love of her life.”
“I sat in the house and cried for four months straight,” she told Hot97. “Every day, all day, when I woke up, when I went to bed. In the middle of the night … Wiz was the love of my life. He broke my heart. You know, now, it’s months later and I’m just trying to date. I just want nice guys. That’s it.”
Nevertheless, it appears that the ex-couple has mastered co-parenting. Back in 2021, the two came together to throw their son an “epic” Fortnite-inspired Halloween party.
In celebration of the spooky soiree, Wiz and his girlfriend came dressed as a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, while Amber went for a ’70s look.

Earlier this year, Wiz had a proud dad moment while cheering on his son, Sebastian, when he graduated fourth grade.
As expected, Bash’s mother, Amber Rose, was present for her son’s big day. They were also joined by Wiz’s current girlfriend, Aimee Aguilar, and Amber’s second child, Slash, whom she shares with Def Jam exec Alexander ‘AE’ Edwards.
“On our way to 5th grade,” Wiz captioned the post he shared on social media.
