“Wiz was the one that told me to post the picture of me and Trump and Melania,” she said, referencing an Instagram post in May that signaled her surprising shift to the Republican party.
“He doesn’t necessarily support Trump or Kamala or anybody in politics; he’s not into politics at all. But I told him that this is something that I wanted to do, and he just feels like, you know, if the mother of his child is happy then my child is happy, and that’s all that matters. So he completely has my back 100 percent.”
Despite getting the blessing of her baby daddy, Amber Rose has faced her fair share of backlash since outing herself as a Trump supporter.
Her aforementioned photo with the presidential candidate and his wife Melania drew plenty of negative comments online, with some accusing her of betraying both her gender and race.

“Imagine being an ‘advocate’ for women’s rights and endorsing Trump and his party who reversed Roe V Wade. Wild,” one critic wrote, while another added: “You’re a Bisexual woman of color that runs a movement that stands up for Women’s rights and their power against anyone that abuses it….that’s literally OPPOSITE of what he supports.”
The 41-year-old was quick to defend her divisive stance, writing in a follow-up Instagram post: “For all the LGBTQ+ people that think after decades of allyship I would ever hate you! Stop believing the propaganda. They are brainwashing you. Start having bigger conversations instead of staying on one side of the fence.”
She continued: “Ur blind over there. I literally grew up in the Philly/NYC ballroom scene. Most of my favorite people in the world are gay and trans. People that truly know me know that! Please do your research and stop just making decisions based off what other people think. Be a free thinker.”
Rose later explained her affinity for Trump in more detail while sitting down for an interview with the former president’s daughter-in-law Lara Trump.

“I was honestly fed up,” she said. “I’ve been feeling like this for a long time and I was tired of being politically correct, as far as being in the entertainment business.
“For me, Donald Trump is the epitome of an alpha male. He’s there to protect, provide, make sure that the citizens of the U.S. are in a good economy, protecting us. I feel protected by Donald Trump — that’s why I wanted to come out and publicly endorse him.”
