The Alchemist has revealed the origins behind Kendrick Lamar‘s “Meet the Grahams” Drake diss.

In an interview that made its way online on Thursday (September 26), the legendary producer explained how Kendrick ended up using his beat in his high-profile feud with the 6 God.

“That was a gospel record. Swear to God,” he began. The Alchemist was then asked to clarify how K. Dot decided to record over the beat, to which he replied: “I sent it to him beforehand and he had it for a minute. I heard it when everybody else heard it.”

Describing his reaction to the eerie, spine-chilling song, he said: “It was a trip … I was getting a haircut at the studio and it came on the phone. We was listening online, someone was streaming. I thought my phone was bugging. I didn’t know.”

Back in May, Kendrick unleashed “Meet the Grahams” less than an hour after Drake’s own diss song “Family Matters” appeared online, fueling his previous claim that he had a mole in Drizzy’s camp.

The six-and-a-half-minute song found the Compton rapper penning verses to Drake’s son Adonis, his parents Sandra and Dennis, as well as an alleged secret daughter, whose existence has yet to be confirmed.

He then turned his attention to Aubrey Graham himself, making explosive allegations of pedophilia, battling addictions to sex, drugs and gambling, and being an inauthentic culture vulture.

Shortly after its release, Akademiks went live on Rumble to share his reaction to the back-and-forth. During the stream, he claimed to have received information from Kendrick’s about the meaning behind the song’s cover art (which features, among other things, what appears to be a prescription for Ozempic, a drug frequently used for weight loss, in Drake’s name).

“Akademiks got intel from Kendrick’s camp that the details of the cover of ‘Meet the Grahams’ containing a glove, ozempic, receipts etc was stolen from a suitcase that belonged to Dennis Graham, Drake’s father,” the media personality wrote on TikTok.

“This cover art contains things that is from Drake’s pops’ suitcase, so Drake’s pops’ suitcase had these things in it,” he said. “Don’t know how he got a hold of it, don’t know how this happened to get in Kendrick’s hand. But apparently Kendrick Lamar must’ve got a hold of Drake’s dad’s suitcase.

“So we’re talking about Dennis Graham, which is Drake’s pops […] remember all that talk about leaks in the camp?”
