6ix9ine has been accused of violating the terms of his plea agreement in the racketeering case where he infamously became a cooperating witness — and now he’ll spend at least a few weeks in jail as a result.
According to federal court records, the rapper was taken into custody in the early hours of Tuesday (October 29). He appeared in a federal courtroom hours later, where, per reporter Matthew Russell Lee of Inner City Press, he was accused of three violations of the terms of his supervised release: traveling to Las Vegas without permission, avoiding drug tests, and testing positive for meth.

6ix9ine’s lawyer Lance Lazzaro told the court that the rapper went to Vegas to perform, and that he believed he had notified the proper authorities.
A follow-up hearing is set for November 12. Judge Paul Engelmayer has ordered the controversial rapper to be detained until then at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center, the infamous jail that currently houses Diddy.

In a strange coincidence, 6ix9ine’s kidnapper Anthony “Harv” Ellison, who abducted the rapper and robbed him of $365,000 worth of jewelry back in the summer of 2018, is also scheduled to appear in the same federal court on Tuesday for a hearing on an unrelated case. Ellison was sentenced to 24 years in prison back in 2020 for the kidnapping and related gang crimes, but subsequently ran into additional trouble for being part of a network of inmates who smuggled contraband into federal prison.
All of this occurs just weeks after 6ix9ine signed a lucrative new deal with Kartel Music Group.
According to the contract obtained by TMZ on October 8, the Brooklyn-bred rapper will be paid $1 million to record a 10-song album with Mexican artists, then $250k per show when he takes the project on the road throughout Mexico, South America and the United States. In total, he is set to pocket around $6 million.
One small caveat, though – 6ix9ine can’t have any legal issues throughout the duration of the contract, nor initiate any online beefs. He also can’t be arrested. No word yet as to if the arrest on Tuesday will affect the terms of the contract.

Talking to TMZ, at the time, he said he was not worried about staying out of trouble, and also clarified that the deal is less of a record deal and more of an “exclusive tour” arrangement, as well as management.
As for the owners at Kartel Music, they said: “We felt like we needed something like him and he might need something like us. We’re trying to make some noise.”
