50 Cent has revealed that he and JAY-Z joined forces to write Diddy‘s verse on the “Forbes Remix” of Fif’s “I Get Money,” though he blames certain bars on Hov.
The G-Unit mogul reflected on the heavyweight 2007 collaboration while appearing on The Breakfast Club on Tuesday (October 29), where he was quizzed about lyrics from Puffy’s verse that have now taken on a new meaning following his legal drama.

“They said you wrote two verses for Diddy. One was [G. Dep’s] ‘Let’s Get It’ and the other one was on the ‘I Get Money’ remix. They said you wrote it and it’s him confessing to the crimes! Did you see the meme?” Charlmagne Tha God asked.
The radio host then played a portion of Puffy’s verse where he raps: “Bo knows but Diddy did it / Cars, jewelry and big homes, yeah, Diddy did it / Shootouts, coastal beefs, yeah, Diddy did it / But my lawyer’s so good that Diddy got acquitted.”
Fif quickly interjected: “Jay helped me with that,” before he and the hosts began cracking up.
“Jay did that part right there where he said, ‘Shootouts, coastal beefs.’ I wasn’t around for that, that was like East Coast-West Coast [laughs]. And then Keefe D comes out and says…,” he added before trailing off, referencing the former gangmember’s claim that Diddy paid him to kill 2Pac.

Despite their long-running rivalry, 50 went on to praise JAY-Z for his role in penning Diddy’s verse, particularly his ability to craft rhymes in his head without even using a pad and pen.
“There were certain things he wanted to say and Jay knew he wanted to insert it into the record,” he said. “[Diddy] would [be like], ‘Yo, put this in there.’ [JAY-Zs’] mind is formatted like that.

“Now, artists freestyle and freestyle and freestyle, but Jay remembers the idea in his head so he can just say it without writing it down. Because it came out already ready, I said, ‘Put it in there!'”

Though 50 Cent and Diddy worked together in the past, there is no love lost between the two Hip Hop powerhouses.
The “In Da Club” rapper has been consistently trolling the Bad Boy boss since he was first sued for sexual assault last year, and his efforts have only ramped up after Diddy was arrested on sex trafficking and racketeering charges last month.
50 is even producing a Netfix documentary on the wide-ranging allegations against the Harlem-bred mogul. Comedic titles such as Surviving P. Diddy and Diddy Do It? have been thrown around, but an official name has yet to be announced.
The Queens, New York native recently defended his relentless taunts against Diddy, saying in an interview with PEOPLE: “Look, it seems like I’m doing some extremely outrageous things, but I haven’t. It’s really me just saying what I’ve been saying for 10 years.”

He added: “Now it’s becoming more full-facing in the news with the Puffy stuff, but away from that, I’m like, ‘Yo, it’s just my perspective because I stayed away from that stuff the entire time, because this is not my style.’”
