2 Chainz has revealed that his French Bulldog, Trappy, has unfortunately passed away after more than eight years by each other’s side.
Chainz penned a heartfelt message to Instagram on Monday (June 5) letting fans know that Trappy S. Goyard was no longer with us while painfully reflecting on the pup’s life as a man’s best friend.

“Can’t believe im even saying this man im crushed like a mf man this my heart right here I have had @trappygoyard for 9 years we have traveled and kicked it all over the world and he is no longer here mannn,” he wrote. “Shit hurt me no cap, feel like a person passed away, I love my dog he was so smart and laid back!”
“I have so many items and memories of Trappy, can’t believe I won’t hear you snoring no more, I know for a fact we influenced many people to try to get a dog that looked and acted like you, it could never be another Trappy that’s was so sad to me I l loved my dog more than some people I know #restinpeace.”
Condolences and warm messages flooded Chainz’s comment section from the likes of Hit-Boy, E-40, Hitmaka, Honorable C Note, Killer Mike, Turbo, Casey Veggies and more.
2 Chainz reportedly purchased Trappy for $100,000 after taking a liking to his breadwinning French Bulldog father, Micro Machine, in 2015 and the rest was history.
Trappy went on to be a superstar in his own right living the high life with his owner and was a staple on the rapper’s VICELAND Most Expensivest show. The pup’s Instagram account boasts over 73,000 followers.
The Frenchie made a couple of appearances starring in 2 Chainz’s music videos for “Not Invited” and So Help Me God‘s “Grey Area” in 2021, which found Trappy and Chainz switching bodies.

Trappy even stole the show when he joined 2 Chainz as a guest on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in 2017 where he fell asleep mid-interview.
