Nepali rapper-producer Nawaj Ansari opens his latest incendiary single, “MEOW,” with “Professional rapper but my alter-ego’ a killer. But wait! / When I was kid. I wasn’t like this.

Nawaj Ansari’s graphic lyrics takes us through a relatively normal childhood, up until his surroundings caught up with him. “Passing the school and with an A. Do you believe? Always an A? That wasn’t cool – my friends in jail.”

The track culminates grimly with “Survival of fittest. You do what it takes / And that’s when the Buddhist will carry a blade / Flay and Slay / If that what it takes / MayDay MayDay! That’s what you’re yelling. Nobody hearing. Now that you are dead.”

Produced by MONT THE BEAT MAKER, “MEOW” also namedrops some of the most popular horror and slasher films in recent memory, including Annabelle and A Nightmare on Elm Street’s Freddy Krueger.
