Gucci Mane is credited as being one of the pioneers of the Trap movement in Atlanta alongside T.I. & Young Jeezy. He released countless successful singles off mixtapes and his 2005 debut LP “Trap House” was his official entry to the game. He was a spectacular talent scout and mentor to other Atlanta artists which led to him launching So Icey Entertainment then 1017 Bricksquad with Asylum Records. Gucci Mane was instrumental in the careers of OJ Da Juiceman & Waka Flocka Flame while collaborating with several other up & coming Atlantan artists & groups. Between 2014 and 2016, Gucci Mane entered rehab and got incarcerated, but those stretches allowed him to get clean, lose weight and change his lifestyle to a far healthier one. Since 2016, he’s had a new lease on life post his release from prison and his marriage.

Gucci Mane married his girlfriend Keyshia Ka’Oir back in 2017.
It was inherited from his father and he got it from a popular 1986 Rap song by Dana Dane producer/collaborator MC Holiday called “The Gucci Man”.
