One of the trailblazers of Drill, Chief Keef helped to launch an entire subgenre of rap music. A controversial personality, he first attracted local attention from Chicago's South Side with his mixtapes, The Glory Road and Bang. It was during his house arrest that he posted several videos directly to his YouTube account, making him one of the first YouTube sensations. His song "I Don't Like" became a hit in Chicago and caught Kanye West's attention, who remixed it with rappers Pusha T, Jadakiss and Big Sean. After dropping several hit albums, critics have pointed to Chief Keef as a major influence on the drill subgenre and his continued impact on the industry.
