HipHopDX Premiere: Burgeoning Bay Area MC Tree Thomas has put his roots down in another new video, “No Pain,” which also features Berkeley rapper/actor Koran Streets.
Directed by Thomas, the video brings new life to the smooth, F1rst Class-produced track while following the story of a marijuana-growing man who looks like he’s about to be robbed by a masked individual (played by Streets). But before that can happen, a crackhead who bares a slight resemblance to Dave Chappelle’s Tyrone Biggums knocks on his door looking for some work. Whatever’s going on, the video’s soundtrack and its bass heavy beat isn’t painful whatsoever. Watch it above.
